About Melody KaneDJ Melody Kane has gained a solid reputation within the DJ world as being one of the most professional and talented female DJ’s within the industry. From special guest appearances or at her own residencies in London, Melody always brings the house down with her unique energy, technical skill & crowd reading ability. Melody is regularly on the radio, and has made several guest appearances on BBC1Xtra, Choice FM (where she came runner up in their 2011 Decks Factor competition) and London’s Bang FM. She is also a resident DJ alongside Ras Kwame & Twin B, at the capitals premier live music showcase night ‘I Luv Live’ showcasing the cream of homegrown talent, with previous performances by Jessie J, Wretch 32, Bashy & Encore (Melody performed with ‘Encore’ for their TV debut on Channel 4’s ‘Koko Pops’ music program) Melody also recently featured on Channel 4's most watched daytime T.V series 'Come Dine With Me’, where she was picked to take part in the launch episodes of their 6th season. Melody cooked up a full Caribbean menu, and served plenty of alcohol! Aired in the U.K late 2010 daily on Channel 4, Melody’s antics have now become legendary.... December 2010, Cash Money & London’s own Jay Sean asked Melody to appear with him on stage @ the O2 Arena as part of Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball as a hype DJ, alongside other artists such as Flo-Rida, JLS, Black Eyed Peas & Tinnie Tempah. Due to the great success of the show, Melody performed with Jay Sean at his UK festival appearances in 2011, playing at some of the UK’s largest music festivals, in front of crowds up to 70,000 strong. Melody was also asked to perform alongside London’s freshest Urban Pop trio ‘Encore’ for their TV debut for Channel 4’s ‘Koko Pops’ program. But as well as her domestic success, Melody has performed at several major international events, including appearances in the U.S.A, Thailand, Holland, Jamaica (alongside Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel & Mavado) and most recently Abu Dhabi. Melody released an exclusive mixtape called 'UK Girlfight Part 1' in February 2011, which champions the cream of the UK’s female talent & it was featured as ‘Mixtape of the Week’ on BBC1Xtra’s Westwood Show, which coincided with the successful launch of her new club night called 'Female Dj Takeover' based upon the same theme. Melody was approached once again by BBC1Xtra in May to feature on C.J Beatz RnB M1X Show, where her awesome mix received incredible feedback. Soon after, SBTV asked her to DJ at their re-launch party where she played to a packed house alongside some of the most hyped artists around today including Ed Sheeran, Loick Essien, Bluey Robinson and even a surprise performance from Keri Hilson. The event was filmed by Channel 4 and has been featured in the T4 program ‘Bedroom To The Boardroom’. She is now the official SBTV DJ, performing at all their star studded events. More recently Melody’s made her debut performance at London’s Fashion Week, where she performed alongside celebrity DJ, Mr Hudson at Mayfair’s Louis Vuitton Store, to the worlds fashion elite.
