This is the second mix that I have been asked to put together for Chelsea Football Club, after the players heard me spin at Stamford Bridge. About Melody KaneDJ Melody Kane has gained a solid reputation amongst her peers in the music industry as being one of the most professional and talented female DJ’s on the scene. From special guest appearances or at her own residencies in London, Melody always brings the house down with her unique energy, technical skill & crowd reading ability. Melody hosts her own radio show every Thursday & Friday 12-2pm on London’s BANG 103.6FM (www.wearebang.com) and has also made several guest appearances on BBC1Xtra, Rinse FM & Choice FM, where her killer club mix was chosen from thousands of entries to be chosen as runner up in the 2011 Decks-Factor challenge. As well as hearing Melody, you may also have seen her on Channel 4's most watched daytime T.V series 'Come Dine With Me’, where she was picked to take part in the launch episodes of their 6th season. Melody cooked up a full Caribbean menu served up with plenty of alcohol! Aired in the U.K late 2010 daily on Channel 4 and repeated on Chanel 4, E4 & More 4 until 2014, Melody’s antics have now become legendary.... December 2010, Cash Money & London’s own Jay Sean asked Melody to appear with him on stage @ the O2 Arena as part of Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball as a hype DJ, alongside other artists such as Flo-Rida, JLS, Black Eyed Peas & Tinnie Tempah. Due to the great success of the show, Melody accompanied Jay Sean at his UK festival appearances in 2011, playing at some of the UK’s largest music festivals, in front of crowds up to 70,000 strong. Following on from this, Melody was asked by Universal Records to perform alongside London’s freshest Urban Pop trio ‘Encore’ for their debut TV appearance on Channel 4’s ‘Koko Pops’ music program, which first aired summer 2011. Earlier that year, Melody released an exclusive mixtape called 'UK Girlfight Part 1', which champions the cream of the UK’s female talent & it was featured as ‘Mixtape of the Week’ on BBC1Xtra’s Westwood Show, which coincided with the successful launch of her new club night called 'Female Dj Takeover' based upon the same theme. Due to the mixtape’s success Melody was asked once again by BBC1Xtra to feature another bespoke mix, this time for the C.J Beatz RnB M1X Show, where her awesome mix received incredible reviews (all Melody’s mixes can be found on her podcast page) Soon after her BBC appearances, SBTV founder Jamal Edwards, asked Melody to DJ at the SBTV web-launch party, where she played to a packed house alongside some of the most hyped artists around today including Ed Sheeran, Loick Essien & Keri Hilson. The event was filmed by Channel 4 and has been featured in the T4 program ‘Bedroom To The Boardroom’, and on the awesome SBTV television commercial for Google Chrome. Melody has now been given the prestigious title of ‘SBTV Official DJ’ and recently hosted the 2011 Xmas party at Koko in Camden alongside Roll Deep, Wretch 32, Tinchy Styder, Labrinth, Rizzle Kicks & Ms Dynamite (video available on Melody’s YouTube). Melody is also a resident DJ alongside Ras Kwame & Twin B, at the capitals premier live music showcase night ‘I Luv Live’ showcasing the cream of homegrown talent.
